Devil’s Island is the perfect place to explore and picnic with your family and friends.

Pack up your kayak with a picnic, floating tubes, and a sack for sea shells! The kayaks are free for all guests to use and will carry two people each…and maybe a small child.

We have life jackets of all sizes in the bin on the private beach at Tahoe in Texas.

Take a break in the shade at Tahoe in Texas.

It’s not all fun in the sun.
Sometimes you need a break and we’ve got you covered, down on the private beach and up at the house.

We have a shady lounge in among the pines as well as a daytime teepee for taking a break. The beachside cabana has a soft daybed perfect for naps near the sand and sneaking in a bit of work.

Up at the house, you’ll find a shady outdoor soft play area, perfect for little ones who need to stay out of the sun. The swinging daybed is our favorite place to get some fresh air and dig into a good book.

Our deck is always in partial shade. As the deck faces north, there is always a spot of shade to chase. And if its just too darn hot, turn on the A/C and get your game on in one of our games rooms.

Get in TOUCH with nature…we mean it.

We have some very snacky neighbors (whitetail) who love to come asking for some of the deer corn we keep on hand. We’ve had guests re-enact whole scenes from Snow White with our wiley wildlife friends.

We also have a shy little fox that comes by almost every evening a little before 8pm. He’s super shy but if you’re quiet and seem “safe”, he just might show his foxy little face!

Romantic Fall and Winter Packages Available.

October-December are the BEST weather wise when it comes to Texas. We’ll let you book a last minute getaway in the Fall and Winter with a couples discount. That means you can book your next destination vacation without having to book a flight!
And if you book later in the winter you can watch as storms roll across the lake behind our two story viewing windows.
